Our team.

Cassie Mathis, CPO, owner

Hi! I’m Cassie. I started Baby Bear Cranial Clinic in 2020 and I have been honored to help so many amazing families. I am a certified Prosthetist-Orthotist with a focus on cranial remolding helmets.

I majored in Kinesiology and Business Administration at UW Eau Claire and earned Orthotic and Prosthetic Certificates from Northwestern University and California State University- Dominguez Hills, respectively. I have been working with little ones who have been diagnosed with plagiocephaly and/or brachycephaly since 2011 during a portion of my residency at a clinic located in Children's Hospital of WI in Milwaukee.

I believe in taking a team approach and working collaboratively with the families, physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors and all others involved. I have worked hard to build a reputation as one of the best cranial orthotists in the state and make sure referral sources feel confident that I will perform a comprehensive and objective evaluation and make an appropriate recommendation; whether that is to proceed with helmet treatment, continue with repositioning efforts, or rule out a cranial helmet as a necessary intervention.

Beyond orthotics, I am also a mother of 3 young boys, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a big-dream dreamer and a Believer. I am a lover of colors, design shows, and team sports. I am a dreamer.

Callie Huft, Occupational Therapist and Certified Orthotic Assistant

Hi I’m Callie! I joined the Baby Bear team in 2022 and am excited to bring my expertise as an occupational therapist along with me. I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree in 2013 and have worked in a variety of settings that have ultimately led to a passion for pediatric cranial care.

I truly love working with families and offering a holistic, well-rounded approach to care. As the developer and executor of our invaluable Baby Bear Head Shape Program, I work hard to help families correct head shape both with and without a helmet; the root of head shape deformities can be complex, but I am here to help simplify and offer peace of mind in whatever decision is best for your family. I believe that education, empowerment, and encouragement are the ingredients to a successful and life-changing treatment plan.

Outside of work, you can find me loving on my two young kids, enjoying nature, lovingly embracing a warm cup of coffee, or watching Friends for the hundredth time. I look forward to meeting you!
